Fighting smugglingAnti-smuggling Photo:While inspecting the carry-on baggage, airport customs officials were surprised by what they saw on the monitor: something that looked like a heartbeat. Opening a suspicious suitcase, they found a tiger cub there. Stowed diagonally in a small suitcase among terry towels and plush tigers, he slept peacefully under the influence of tranquilizers. The kid was wearing a muzzle. According to the smuggler, the passenger hoped that the tiger cub would be mistaken for a toy. Now the woman, according to the laws of the country, faces three years in prison. The half-dead toy was urgently handed over to veterinarians, who immediately began to take measures to bring the animal out of a narcotic sleep. According to them, the baby was very weak, and the dose of the tranquilizer was so serious that the tiger cub would not have survived a flight of 4-5 hours and would have died in a suitcase. Now the baby has already come to his senses and, most likely, will be transferred to one of the zoos ... Wildlife conservationists intend to find out whether it was caught in the wild or raised in captivity. So far, it has not been possible to find out for what purpose the tiger was supposed to fly to Iran, a country that has its own.
