If you have a few days, then it is ideal to have a quiet vacation at the dacha, so that the chair under you does not “slide” anywhere, and around you - silence, clean air and family, close people nearby. My wife Elena and I built a country house quite a long time ago in the village of Staropyshminsk, and immediately moved there. We have two houses on our site. We built the first one 15 years ago - it is now used as a guest or children's house. There are mountains nearby, so it was decided to make the house in the style of a traditional Alpine chalet, and it fits well into the overall environment. And the new house is decorated in the style of an Italian villa - it is a slightly European style. The entire second floor is occupied by a large playroom. And there is also my “playroom” - with guitars, a small studio and a home theater.

I play with them whatever they ask: we often play together in the sandbox, and recently, for example, we played "Mousetrap" - it is a board game, quite silly. Guests with children often come - in a word, the playground is not empty, there are a lot of kids at the dacha! There is no vegetable garden at the dacha. We have a certain place set aside for small neat beds. But so far there is only one bed with peas - literally a meter by a meter. Last year there were a few carrots, but this year I didn't want to plant anything!

But if you have a couple of weeks, why not go on vacation? As I get older, I’ve become a little tired of traveling abroad and I think that the best vacation is in Russia. But my wife Lena doesn’t go on tour like I do, she waits for me at home, and I definitely have to, as they say, “take her for a walk.” We can’t vacation more than twice a year. In the winter, my wife and I go on vacation together, usually to Italy. And in the summer, we take a minibus, rent a big house somewhere abroad, and go on a big trip with our children and grandchildren!

We flew to one end of the island and rented a house at the other end. And we traveled these 200 km in a big, cheerful company with whistles and songs! We rested during the day and played games together in the evening, like "Uno". I think it's great to have a family vacation, it brings people together, and children and grandchildren remember such events for a long time. My eldest granddaughters Vika and Alisa are 7 years old, but they remember very well the vacation they had three years ago, when they were 4 years old.

We try to maintain our traditional weekend get-togethers in the country house. We even had to rebuild the living room there twice - to enlarge it so that the table would fit: at first it was a small round one, then - for 20 people, now - for 35. Vladimir Sergeevich Begunov (guitarist and second founder of the group "CHAYF", a friend of Shakhrin's from school, - ed. WD) often comes to our dacha with his children and wife Masha, just to drink tea, to see how things have been done at the dacha - it is also under construction now. Sometimes the Begunovs and I go on vacation together - two years ago we went to Tbilisi with our wives.

I will stop performing only for two reasons: if I do not want to go on stage and if the audience does not want me to. But I do not consider these reasons possible. Therefore, I do not see my future pension in any way: it will not happen, I will perform until the last. I understand that this sounds monstrous to many people, but I repeat – it is true – I am a happy man!
