Perhaps, each participant of the project “Voice. Children "in the soul hopes that one of the mentors will necessarily turn to him. But hardly anyone could even dream that the mentor would not only turn around, but also sing a duet with you. There are cases when children ask for it themselves, after their performance. But this girl did not even have to persuade anyone. It cost 11-year-old Denise Khekilaeva to sing the song “Faith”, as Valery Meladze ran out onto the stage and began to sing along! That's what it means to successfully choose the repertoire - the fact is that the song “Faith” was written by the singer’s brother Konstantin Meladze, in her time Anastasia Prikhodko performed, while Denise had a similar voice timbre. All this played a role that Valery could not sit still.Photo:Maxim Li “We didn’t even know that Valery Meladze would be among the mentors,” admitted the girl’s mother, Diana. “My daughter learned this song a year ago at her grandmother’s request. She came one day and said: ‘Deniza, I heard such a beautiful song, please learn it for me.’ We listened to Anastasia Prikhodko’s version and even tried to find a similar image – she also sang in something white. My sister wove a wreath of flowers herself, sewed a dress, and that’s how well it all worked out. Dima Bilan was the first to turn to Denisa, and when Valery Meladze ran out, we were all shocked. I don’t even remember what happened next. And my daughter is great, she didn’t lose her head. She is a very self-confident girl, so every time I wonder who she is like. Definitely not like me. Denisa has been singing since she was 4, and I had no idea what it would turn into. I simply took my daughter to a club because I needed to do something, and she had an unusual timbre of voice: such a low, voluminous one. And since then she has been singing, has participated in various competitions many times, and won first place. She has an excellent ear, she perceives songs in any language very quickly: in Italian, and in French, and even sang something in Portuguese. My daughter asked me for a long time to send a questionnaire to "The Voice", I did not agree, I was afraid for her, for myself, what if they did not turn to her, she would be upset, how would I calm her down... She is still so vulnerable. But Denisa insisted on her own. We got into the project last year, but our turn in the blind auditions did not come. My daughter was a little upset, and then she realized that at least she had time to prepare well, which we did."
