After taking antibiotics, you need to wait a few hours, express and pour out the first portion of milk. Only then can you attach the baby to the breast. It is safer to reduce elevated temperature with "Paracetamol" or "Nurofen". These drugs have virtually no side effects, so they are approved for use during lactation. In this case, these drugs should be used in the form of suppositories. They are, of course, less effective, but at the same time you can be sure that the active components of the drugs will not get into the milk, and accordingly, the child's body.
Traditional means of temperature
This method of treatment is the safest, because natural components do not contain substances harmful to the baby. They have proven themselves in the treatment of colds:
- lemon;
- raspberries;
- honey;
- black currant;
- leaves of a linden tree.
They can be added to hot tea or madedecoctions with medicinal herbs. Rubbing with a vinegar solution, which is used to treat the chest area, armpits, knees and elbows, effectively and safely reduces fever. But it is not recommended to use alcohol for these purposes, as it can get into the milk through the skin. There are many remedies that can reduce the temperature of a nursing woman. But before using any of them, you should consult a doctor. In addition, if relief does not come and the fever is accompanied by other unpleasant symptoms, you should immediately seek medical help.
