Modern children can do a lot of things.They have been on first-name terms with computers, smartphones and other gadgets since they were babies. However, this does not mean that they are smarter than we were. The world has simply changed. This fact was easily proven by Kimberly Phillips, the mother of a teenage boy named Braylon. She simply asked her son to dial a phone number. The boy almost broke his brain trying to fulfill his mother’s request. And nothing worked. And all because Braylon’s mother is a level 80 troll. A rotary phone! The boy had never seen anything like it. For him, even a push-button mobile phone is the last century. And this one is a complete nightmare. Braylon did not even guess that he needed to pick up the receiver from the device before dialing a number. That the numbers needed to be “screwed” all the way down – also. His younger (!) sister had to help him. Braylin cautiously inserted his finger into the hole in the dial, moved it all the way down… It worked! But the phone was still there… The boy picked it up only after dialing the entire number. “Nothing’s working,” Braylin said in bewilderment. “There’s just a dial tone.” Even the neighbors seemed to hear his mother’s laughter. Braylin decided to try again. But his previous experience had taught him nothing – he still didn’t pick up the phone. His mother’s laughter off-camera turned into a stifled grunt. To be honest, even we couldn’t hold back while watching the video. And when Braylin decided to ask Google for advice and pulled out his smartphone from his pocket, a real hysteria began. The video went viral. 19 million people watched it on Kimberly’s social media page alone. Almost half a million more reposted the teenager’s epic battle with a rotary phone.
