- To us in group are going to translate the girl fromdisabilities in development! - The anger of my friend Katya was heard even by phone. "You imagine, to ordinary children!" "I do not understand," I shrug. - Well, the child is not ordinary. Does she have a serious deviation? "" It seems there is not ... "" Then what's wrong? "" It's not so! And if it is aggressive? If she's head on the wall to beat? If ... "If" was typed in about twenty minutes. "Earlier, such children were allotted to correctional schools. And now the schools are closed, and the children are shoved in the usual school-schools, - Katya raged. But Katya is not a beast. The usual average mother. So is it really with inclusive education that everything is really so bad?

Equal Opportunities Society

Inclusive education is actively promoted inaround the world, and in Russia they started trying to create something similar quite recently. What is the point? To give children with special needs the opportunity to join the regular group of their peers - after all, it is impossible to socialize in society if you are isolated from it. And if earlier children with neurological problems were sent to a correctional kindergarten, and from there to a special school, now doctors recommend sending "special" children to the most ordinary educational institutions. But in our country this idea is met, if not with hostility, then with bewilderment. We tried to look at the problem from three sides. Mothers of ordinary children and "special" ones shared their opinions about the inclusive system with us. And kindergarten teachers - those people who will have to implement the idea.

"Such children can not be in the masses"

Photo: GettyImages— I am against it. Categorically. If we are talking about some global problems with health and behavior, - Olga, mother of 6-year-old Taisiya, did not think for a second about the answer. - Let the parents of "special" children forgive me, I treat them all very well, I know some of them. But in a general children's group? No, no, and again no. My eldest son had one such classmate. He ran around the classroom during classes, threw tantrums, bit other children. They were afraid to go to school. We tried for more than a year to get him transferred to a special school. We bombarded the principal with complaints. Thank God, we got it. Olga's youngest daughter is now in kindergarten. There are several children with minor disabilities in her group. But they are all adequate, they are taught to socialize. - But if my child complains that they regularly interfere, offend, disrupt classes, yell all day, I will be the first to go to the headmistress. And I will demand that they be sent to a committee for a conclusion – whether they can study in a general group. Let neurologists write whatever they want in their diagnoses, I am defending the rights of my child. Such children, in my opinion, should not be in the masses at all. Their nervous system is weak, underdeveloped. They need comfort, and not, excuse me, trash. Do their parents really not understand that their children are suffering? – says Olga.

"No need to cultivate intolerance"

— I won’t voice my son’s diagnosis, he’s toocomplex and verbose. But outwardly, Mark is the most ordinary child, he went to an ordinary kindergarten and will go to an ordinary school in the fall, says Kristina, the mother of 7-year-old Mark. At first, Kristina had to sit for hours in the kindergarten, explaining and showing how her son reacts to different situations. And then everything worked out.A photo: GettyImages- Before the garden, he did not know how to communicate, play with other guys. The garden gave him a tremendous boost in development. Yes, the first year was hard. Mark did not know what discipline was, he disturbed everyone. Everyone sobbed: we, and other children. And complaints were, and hints of transfer to the correctional garden. I had to bring three independent conclusions at once, that Mark can go to a regular kindergarten, - recalls Kristina. Mama is very grateful to the teachers - she said they were able to see the external problems of a kind, sensitive, affectionate boy. And they helped him to adapt to this world. "I'm very afraid of school." There again to adapt, and in a locker room you will not sit ... But we will consult. And I wish other mothers not to be afraid of public opinion. Inclusive education gives our children the opportunity not to feel like an outcast. And other parents are instead of cultivating intolerance, on the contrary, to teach their children that all of them - regardless of the characteristics - are equal, - Christina is sure.

"The idea is good. But there are nuances "

A photo: GettyImages- Of course, it's great to socialize children. I agree that the children's team benefits. We often observe how children, in some ways lagging behind their peers, are quickly pulled up to their level, - Natalia, the educator shares. But, according to the teacher, not everything is so smooth. As they say, there are nuances. First, next to the "special" child at the first time should be a mother. Secondly, with the team must work specialist. A man with a diploma of a correctional teacher. He who knows and understands such children. It is even spelled out in the legislation. "Such people are not enough." Few people will hire a separate specialist because of three or four guys. We too are trained, but very superficially. Yes, there are courses, webinars, you can get additional education. But not everyone is ready for this, says Natalya. It's hard not to agree with her: a child with developmental disabilities requires more attention, concern. And when there are 25 children in the group? And do they all need adaptation? "" And if he traumatizes other guys? " If he screams all day? Throw plates in the walls? If he is aggressive? And if it is attacked by other children because of its "strangeness"? Responsibility is something in the caregiver, - explains Natalia. - I'm not against inclusion as such. But I believe that there should be additions to this right to equal education. Most importantly, there should be no threat to other children. About their rights, too, need to be remembered. Is it possible for unruly children to learn together with ordinary children?

  • Of course, because otherwise they will not get used to life in society
  • In no case. This can be dangerous for ordinary children
  • Why not? Only for each such child should always be supervised by a specialist
  • I will leave it in the comments
