Photo: Getty First of all you need to visit the registry office, and issue a birth certificate for the baby. After that, you need to register the baby at the place of residence. And only after that you can proceed to receive the policy. To do this, visit the office of the insurance company, and fill out the application. In addition, you can find a form on the official website of the organization that you choose, make all the necessary data at home and bring the already prepared form to the office. This significantly reduces the time for registration. Under Russian law, the MHI policy should be issued within 3 months after the birth of the baby. It takes about 30 calendar days to issue a permanent MHI. But do not think that at this time the child will not receive free medical assistance, because for this period the baby will be issued a temporary policy. He has the same power as the permanent.

What documents need to be collected

It is not necessary to apply for compulsory medical insurance in the same company that provides services to parents, because you can contact any insurance company you wish. You need to bring the following with you:
