Nadezhda Babkina, singer, grandson Georgy (7 years old):
– I have two important events in September:The eldest grandson is going to first grade and a new season is starting at my theater "Russian Song", we are preparing three premieres. Georgy attends all our performances, and then expresses his opinion about them. We also like to put on performances at home. We act out fairy tales, for example, "Ryaba the Hen". We analyze the plot in detail so that it is coherent, we dress up, and then invite the whole family and put on a performance. Such games develop imagination, memory, liberate, all this will be useful in school. I put off work and events for September 1, we will take Georgy to the festive line-up with the whole family. I myself have visited the Lomonosov School, where my grandson will study. I met everyone and approve of the parents' choice. This is a school with history - it is already 25 years old, it has a good teaching staff. Teachers are strictly selected. Recently, on a tour of Russian cities, one director told me that nowadays you rarely hear from a child that he wants to go to first grade, because children are afraid of the unknown, a new group. But Georgy dreams of school. He loves to study. And he always strives to share his successes. He draws a picture - and runs to show it, he solves problems in the preparatory textbook - immediately to me to brag about the results. He reads poetry with pleasure.A photo: Roman KuznetsovWhen I come home, Gosh first comes out to meet, to be alone with me, to talk. We're talking. He shares his experiences, news. Now we discuss September 1. I give my grandson parting words, to take lessons seriously, and to the elders - with respect, and always greeted first. Will I check the diary from George? I think that he himself will come running with him to please with marks.
The word George
— What do you like about school already?— Firstly, I like to study, and secondly, I find it interesting. After all, I will go to work as an adult. I want to get up early and wear a jacket. The school has a beautiful gym, there is also a cinema and bushes! — Bushes? — In pots. I like indoor bushes, they make a real home. ("Georgy is into houseplants," explains Tatyana.) — What sciences are you interested in? — My favourite is chemistry. It will start in the fourth grade. I wish it would happen sooner. I like to write, I can count. And my favourite books are about chemistry and space. — Who do you dream of becoming when you grow up? — Michael Jackson.
Tatyana Zasedateleva, mother of George:
— Since we live outside the city, there was a moment, when we were thinking about moving to Moscow for the first grade, there are few educational institutions nearby in the Moscow region. But we were lucky: the private Lomonosov school is not far from home. And, in our opinion, it is one of the best. Before deciding, we went there several times with Georgy, including on the open day. My son was impressed by the school itself and the atmosphere. The students led the tour, and with such inspiration that it was simply impossible not to want to go there. You can see from the children's faces how sincerely they like studying there. This was one of the main factors in favor of the school. Gosha will go to class "B" with a teacher with extensive experience. Lomonosov has a full range of additional classes: drawing, sports sections, foreign languages. What we really liked is that it has its own music school, upon completion of which they issue a separate certificate. Georgy will definitely go there. He has abilities, but we have not yet developed them professionally. He sings and keeps time, and when our dad sometimes plays the piano, Georgy can play the drums with him. My son wants to study music. He dreams of playing the guitar, and definitely the burgundy one! We explain to him that he needs to study music literacy, master the piano, and then he can easily switch to the burgundy guitar. There was a serious preparatory group in the kindergarten where Gosha went. The children were not drilled, but rather accustomed to classes in a soft, playful way. At the end of the year, they were already sitting at their desks, raising their hands to answer, that is, getting into character. At home, we studied using special manuals for children aged 6 to 7, Georgy solved logical problems. In March, he was given a first-grader's set for his birthday - a weighty box with all the necessary things from notebooks to plasticine. He was so happy! Today, for the shoot, he packed his backpack himself and put everything he needed in it. Georgy didn’t just participate in buying school supplies, he chose a lot. For example, he saw the same backpack on the Internet, and that was it – I only want this one, with the red stitching. Danila started looking for where to buy one, but the model was discontinued. And then we come to a large store, Georgy went away, and then came back and with tears in his eyes held that very backpack in front of him. It really was him, with that very red stitching. Of course, we couldn’t help but buy it. It has an orthopedic back, and is lightweight – it weighs only 800 grams. The school has its own uniform with a logo, it is strict, but with fashion trends. Boys wear shirts, trousers, vests, jackets, and a tie or bow tie with them. Georgy likes the uniform so much that for him wearing it is another reason to go to school faster.
