We downloaded many educational games for her, but she was most captivated by the program - a piano simulator. She was delighted when, after pressing a key, a ringing sound was heard. From then on, Vika began to ask to buy her a real instrument. Imagine: you come home, and a four-year-old child asks: "Did you buy me a piano?" I myself have a music school in piano under my belt, so at first I resisted: I understood what a colossal amount of work was behind it. But in the end, I gave in. A piano appeared in our house. I picked out the notes of simple songs, like "Katyusha", "Beautiful Far Away", "Goodbye, Our Affectionate Misha". Vika tapped out a melody with one finger, then two... After a while, she began to play complex melodies with both hands. We outgrew children's songs and began to perform adult songs that she liked. I explained their meaning clearly. We looked for sheet music on the Internet, and then began to order - not all scores were freely available. I think we succeeded because at four years old they do not accept children into music school, and we did not learn scales and etudes, but did what Vika liked.

We called them on Skype. They shared their grandchildren's achievements, and we told them that Vikulya started singing. They really wanted to listen, so our daughter learned a simple short German song for them, Meine Kleine. They praised her a lot. Then we decided to learn another one, more difficult - "Brown Button", but our relatives could not open the file, and we posted it on the hosting. A week later, we went there - and there were already 100 views. We did not even understand how people found our video: after all, we have no advertising, no subscribers. And on the World Wide Web, without a specific request, it is difficult to find a video of a little girl. Vika now has 124,000 subscribers to her blog.

I had to upload a video, and the producers would evaluate it. There were two days left until the end, but we took a chance. Three days later, they called us back and said that Vika Starikova had won and invited her to come to Moscow for a concert. There, she was congratulated on stage and given a huge teddy bear. At the end of the evening, my daughter performed the final song with the other participants. This was her debut on stage as a soloist. Our life changed - Vika wanted to perform. Around the same time, Dima Boldin, a correspondent for the program "You Won't Believe" on NTV, called us, whom we now call the Godfather: he saw Vika's cover version of the song "Sneg" by Irina Bilyk. Back at home, when we were learning the song, I explained it like this: “Vikul, daddy and I love you, and you are always in our heads. You love us, so we are always in yours. And since we love each other, we should not offend each other.” Vika spoke about exactly this on stage! And after that, Renata pressed the red button - apparently, the actress did not like our interpretation of the song. But during editing, everything was swapped...

But we are not offended. I think: is it possible to force a little girl to do something she does not like with such gusto? We are not child prodigies, but our child has liked to perform and learn new things since childhood - she is a versatile person. Our task as parents is only to support our daughter. Vika liked performing, filming and giving interviews. When we arrived for the second round, she immediately ran to the stage - she missed us. Now many of our friends tell us that after Vika's performance in "Minute of Fame" their children wanted to start making music. And for us it was a great adventure that we will remember for a long time. We are ready to conquer new heights!
