Reasons not to take the child to school

Some children adapt to school easily, while othersIt takes time to adapt. Sensitive children can even get sick from an excess of impressions and experiences. If the malaise is caused by emotional exhaustion and is expressed only in fatigue and an increase in temperature, it will be enough to rest at home for a day or two.don't driveSometimes you can let your child rest aloneday not to take him to schoolPhoto: GettySometimes such an unpleasant thing as a slight digestive disorder happens, forcing you to miss classes. If the mother does not need a sick leave, and there is someone to look after the child, it is not necessary to take him to the clinic. There are many sick children there, and there is a risk of catching an infection that will exclude the student from the educational process for a long time. Another reason not to take children to school is family circumstances. It happens that the parents' vacation does not coincide with the holidays, there is a holiday or an urgent departure. Child athletes do not go to classes during competitions. In all these cases, the student will not be able to show the teacher a certificate.

What is required by law

There is nothing in the law "On Education of the Russian Federation"It is not stated how many days you can miss school. There are SanPiN for preschool institutions, which state that after 5 days of absence from kindergarten, a doctor's note is required. There is no such condition in the sanitary standards for general education institutions. Schools themselves determine the permissible period of absence from classes. There are internal regulations of the educational organization, which parents are obliged to follow. It is in them that the possibilities and consequences of missing classes are prescribed. In most cases, 3 days are considered the norm. Schools easily let students go for this period. Usually it is enough to call the class teacher and warn that the child is sick or leaving, and then write a statement to the director. In the text of the statement, the parent asks to allow his or her son or daughter to be absent from classes and takes responsibility for his or her health and assimilation of the educational material on the specified day. The school charter may also stipulate the mandatory provision of a medical certificate after in-patient treatment or a stay abroad. Constant truancy entails serious consequences, such as failure to pass the test and failure to move to the next grade. But if a child rarely misses classes and his/her academic performance does not deteriorate, the school allows him/her to be excused from studying for two to three days without a certificate.
