While in diapers, and in the literal sense, the child makes the first intellectual discoveries. It is important for him to learn to understand cause-and-effect relationships. In this case, he peed or pooped, which means it became wet and uncomfortable. While in a diaper, the baby will not be able to understand this pattern for a long time. Disposable diapers deprive a child of the first "scientific" discovery, which means that the very first natural impetus to the development of intelligence does not occur. And why should a baby try to say something, explain to mom that he is about to get wet, that he needs to go to the potty, if he is fine in a diaper. You can keep quiet ... Yes, diapers are convenient: and the nights are calmer, and there is less washing, and in general, you save time and clean laundry. But do not forget that this "convenience" can negatively affect the health of the baby (not only physical, but also mental). The fact is that there is a strict pattern between speech and mental development. It looks like this: at the age of up to three years, the level of development pulls speech along with it. But after three, if speech lags behind the norm, then mental development slows down. Therefore, it is very important for the baby to start talking on time, so that his speech develops according to his age (we will write about this in a separate article).
