Step 1. Get rid of excess

Sometimes there really are too many toys.Take your child under your arm and do some inventory. Put the cars, construction sets and dolls into piles: some will still be useful to the growing brother or sister, the baby is playing with some right now, and some can be taken to the country. Or given away. You can even get double benefit from this. If you take unnecessary toys to a boarding school or orphanage with your child (of course, if they are in decent condition), this can become a kind of vaccination of humanity. And at the same time, it will make it clear that all these joys of children's life do not fall from the sky. And if they do, then not on everyone.Photo: GettyImages

Step 2. Looking for an angle

Now our focus is on toys, which you still intend to keep. You can divide the nursery into zones - by interests, for example. One corner will be "space" - with educational games, another - "mathematical", with puzzles and construction sets, the third - family, with dolls and a kitchen, and in the fourth corner there will be a garage. Those things that you decided to pass on to the youngest can be hidden out of sight (and underfoot). For example, in a linen drawer in the parents' bed or sofa. And remember that in the nursery there is always room for an ottoman, inside which you can also store a whole bunch of entertaining things.

Step 3. ... And here we will make a shelf!

Yes, this is a wonderful invention of mankind.saves space perfectly. Online stores have a lot of bright cabinets, chests of drawers, pencil cases with drawers. They will fit into the interior of the nursery and will not take up much space. For small things, such an apron with many pockets is perfect - it can be hung on the inner wall of the wardrobe, for example, or on the door. The latter option, by the way, can also kill two birds with one stone - if the door has glass elements, such an "apron" will act as a curtain, and the light from the hallway will not interfere with the baby's sleep. And how many dolls, construction set parts and other joys can be stuffed into these pockets!Photo: GettyImages

Step 4. Crazy pens: 5 lifhaks for self-made ones

If you don’t want to buy all sorts of gadgets,You can make them yourself. First, you need to decide on the material: boxes, crates, even old dresses (you can sew a very funny bag from them) are perfect. All options are quite budget-friendly and leave a lot of room for your imagination. 1. Wooden boxes and shelves can be assembled into a mini-chest of drawers and pasted over with bright film. It is important to smooth out the corners and check if there are any splintery surfaces. In general, everything so that the child does not get hurt. 2. Plastic buckets - you can glue a very unusual "hive" for storage from them. Plus - such a structure can be given any shape, and it itself can become a toy. 3. If you cut off the sleeves, unnecessary laces and frills (or even the top part) from an old grandmother's or mother's dress and sew the bottom, you will get a "magic bag" for weekend toys. 4. Cardboard boxes are a practical and roomy thing. They can also be pasted over with bright wallpaper. Or even with white paper – and paint it yourself. True, there is a danger that your children will live in these “houses”. 5. If you have a lot of Lego… assemble a garage for cars from the pieces. You will get two in one! And then, if you want, you can turn the garage into a fairy-tale castle or a shelf for books. In general, there are many ideas. The main and universal rule here is only one: the kid should also like your ideas. So, at the very least, consult with your child. And better yet, involve him in this very creative process.
