Often moms and dads topic about gadgets in the lives of childrenperceive as a reproach in his address. After all, gadgets for them - it's a great way to relax in silence or just have a quiet lunch in a restaurant. A counterargument usually sounds something like "now the whole world is from gadgets, and I do not want my child to fall behind." But in frank conversations with the psychologist, they recognize that it's just convenient. We asked the psychologist Larisa Surkova, where the legs grow from this problem and what to do to the parents.A photo: Getty Images Sometimes you can see an attached tablet to a stroller with a baby 6-8 months. Any pediatrician, oculist and neurologist will unanimously say that using gadgets without control or at too early age leads to an overload of the nervous system; the formation of addiction (and hence the zone of the brain responsible for the pleasures will be constantly irritated); reduced vision and increased irritability in the absence of a gadget at hand. According to the psychologist Larisa Surkova, arguing with such parents is useless and pointless. The fact is that, firstly, they are already dependent on their tablets and smartphones, and secondly, they are just comfortable with this state of affairs.

What do parents do wrong?

Photo: Getty Images1.The first step towards the problem is made by mom and dad, who themselves spend a lot of time with a phone, tablet or computer. It is no secret that a child learns about the world through their parents. If adults do it this way, then it is right to do it. 2. It is a big mistake to have illusions about the necessity of such devices at an early age. “But at one year old he can do puzzles on a tablet,” boast gadget-obsessed parents. Of course, but only if you give him a real puzzle, he will not do it, because the brain perceives a computer image as a picture. This does not develop a child at an early age (up to 6-7 years old). 3. Addiction in children develops 10 times faster than in adults. But it is 10 times more difficult to treat and sometimes takes longer. 4. Children have a very severe stage of refusal. It is no coincidence that cases of a child attacking his parents with a knife after they took away his computer are increasingly appearing in the news. 5. You give a gadget and create the illusion of a good relationship. After all, when he begs for a tablet, he is ready to do anything and “loves” you so much. But what happens when you take the gadget away? Think about it.A photo: Getty Images So, the main thing about what you need to remember. Before school, you can do without a gadget, and believe me, no defective child will feel in the kindergarten. In general, the rule "the later, the better" works in this case on hurray. There are also exclusions. This situation where the gadget will save a large number of people around you. For example, if you are waiting for a very long flight by plane. Of course, there you can also come up with a hundred different entertainments, but in the name of passengers and mom, you can briefly take the child to the tablet.

What should you do if your child has been taught?

First, let's take age into account and start to highlightlimited time for “communication” with a gadget: ✔ children under three years old – ideally 0 minutes a day in front of the TV and definitely 0 minutes in front of a tablet/phone; ✔ children 3-5 years old – 20 minutes of TV, but it is still better to do without a gadget; ✔ children 5-7 years old – 30 minutes of TV or 10 minutes of a gadget (preferably without it); ✔ children 7-9 years old – a total of 40 minutes a day with all equipment; ✔ teenagers 9-14 years old – a total of 60 minutes a day with all equipment; ✔ teenagers over 14 years old – try to agree, but no more than 90 minutes a day.

Layfhaki for parents

Photo: Getty Images1.If you do not mind your child interacting with gadgets, then at least strictly limit the time. Set the alarm clock according to age recommendations. This way, the “enemy” will not be you, but the ringing alarm clock. 2. Do not give your child a gadget until he or she is at least three years old! 3. Load your child with activities – sports, art, trips and other hobbies. 4. Do not take your tablet with you when you go to a cafe, to visit or for a walk in the park. Your child should be able to relax in a way other than in front of a screen. Remember: his or her imaginative thinking is actively developed now, which means that new pictures are very important to him or her. They are what develop it and excite his or her imagination! 5. Do not turn interaction with a gadget into a way to praise and reward your child: you got an A – go play! Positive feedback should come from a person. 6. To get rid of technology, you need to break it (not literally, but by showing the child that the gadget does not work). And this means that no one plays in the house. The most extreme method, but works for any age.
