When the teeth of children
The first teeth appear in children at the age of 4up to 8 months. There is no need to worry about late or too early teething, because this process is impossible to control. What can I do to help my baby?
The first signs of teething are:
- active carding of gums with various objects;
- constant crying of the child;
- nervousness, restless sleep;
- lack of appetite;
- fever.
Sometimes diarrhea or vomiting may occur.The beginning of this process can be determined by obvious signs, but how can you help your child? There are various gels, ointments, tablets and suppositories on sale. Gels and ointments have a cooling and soothing effect. They should be applied directly to the gum. Tablets and suppositories can be given to your baby every 6-8 hours. Such drugs are most often made on a natural basis so as not to cause any harm to the child's health, but you should consult a pediatrician for a prescription to avoid possible complications. Cold teethers will also ease your baby's suffering: they reduce pain and massage the gums. This not only alleviates the baby's condition, but also speeds up teething. A simple and affordable way to help your child is a gum massage. You need to gently press on the gum with a clean finger, helping the tooth to cut through faster. You can use special silicone brushes. But the most important thing for a baby during this period is mother's milk. Sucking will relieve pain and bring a sense of security. Teething is a difficult period, try to pick up your baby more often, talk to him tenderly - this reduces anxiety and helps to calm the baby. See also:
