Probably, many of you, dear parents, have you ever heard of sand painting? Or maybe someone has painted sand pictures with their children? Such classes are held in many schools and development centers. But what are their benefits? Elena Shuvarina, educational psychologist, head of the Center for Children and Parents "House of Joy" answers this question: "First of all, sand is a living material. It can absorb, take on negative emotions, anxiety, fears and give us energy. In other words, it can balance our psycho-emotional state." Agree, in our fast-paced world full of emotions and stress, this is very, very important! And of course, drawing on the sand helps to develop the qualities necessary for a growing person: speech, attention, thinking, imagination, memory. Sand games are very useful for developing fine motor skills, tactile sensations and coordination of movements. And all this happens easily and imperceptibly, in the game. At the same time, your child feels like a real artist, a creator! "For him, it's a kind of magic ritual: sand pours out and turns into any shape under the child's hands," says Elena Shuvarina. Sand is a very grateful and truly comfortable material: when drawing on the sand, the child is not afraid to fantasize, make mistakes: if it doesn't work out - no problem, you can collect the sand, smooth it out and start creating again. "That's how many useful properties sand has! Help your child create, create a sand fairy tale with him. Creative inspiration to you!" - Elena Shuvarina wishes children and their parents. "We wrote, we wrote, our fingers are tired. We'll rest a little and start writing again!" Do you remember such a simple poem from your childhood, when we were just starting to learn to write? Then, being first-graders, we had no idea how useful finger gymnastics is for the development of a child! Today, not only younger schoolchildren are taught this useful activity, but also very young children. Elena Shuvarina invites us to attend a lesson: at the "House of Joy" it is conducted by a wonderful teacher, a master of her craft Marina Mazurova. As you can see, the children are very happy to repeat Marina's movements: they really like this magical "physical education"! "Another very important function of finger gymnastics is that it increases the efficiency of the cerebral cortex. Even simple movements of our hands - rubbing or patting - can restore strength and fill the child's body with energy," explains Elena Shuvarina. And of course, "playing with fingers" is not only a way to improve the health and development of a child, it is also a wonderful way for a parent and child to spend time together. "Play with your children using your fingers!" - advises Elena Shuvarina. Even more good advice from Elena Shuvarina on the website
