leaves much to be desired, so practicallyAny young mother, leaving the maternity hospital, dreams of getting back to her previous shape. Some only have to lose a couple of kilograms, while others have to try hard to get back to their pre-pregnancy weight. If your baby is breastfed and you decide to stick to a diet, rest assured that a couple of extra kilos will leave you very soon. A young mother has no problems with motivation. For the sake of our baby, we are ready to adhere to the strictest restrictions in food. But even if after abstaining from unhealthy food you already see the desired number on the scale, this may often not be enough. Most girls want to achieve not just a certain weight, but to tone their muscles and tighten their body.Olya before giving birth Photo: authorAnd after a few months Photo:AuthorMany of my friends took up sports seriously for the first time while on maternity leave. I will share my experience. During the first months of pregnancy, I still tried to continue exercising, but by the third month, on the recommendation of the doctor, I almost completely gave up physical activity. Therefore, closer to the end of the term, I really missed fitness and imagined how I would be able to resume training almost immediately after giving birth. In reality, everything turned out to be completely different. Due to an emergency cesarean section, exercising began to seem unrealistic to me. When it was painful even to get out of bed in the days following the operation, the thought of pumping up the press somehow did not occur to me. It was surprising to me that almost all mothers were discharged from the maternity hospital with quite decent bellies. In fact, this is normal! Naturally, the muscles need time to contract. But this does not add optimism in the first weeks. Despite the fact that I left almost 10 kilograms in the maternity hospital. But the belly and a couple of extra kilos remained. Of course, it scared me.Photo by:
Food
Since this is my first baby, I decided tostrictly follow the diet. In order not to harm my daughter, I gave up a huge number of products. As I understood later, my daughter, fortunately, is not allergic and practically did not react to what I ate. After the colic passed, I slowly began to return the usual products to my diet. During the diet, I was able to . In addition, at home, it became much easier for me to control how much liquid I drink per day. And now I start every morning with a glass of water. It is also easier to follow fractional meals at home. Many people know that it is much healthier to eat small portions, but often. At work, it is quite difficult to follow this rule. And when you are at home with a child, you can easily turn this into your habit. After a few months, I realized that in order to further improve my figure, you need to add sports. After a natural birth, sports can be resumed earlier than after a cesarean section. In any case, everything is individual! You must be sure that you feel well and are ready for the load. Also, you need to consult with your doctor and make sure all the stitches have healed. Perhaps I gave myself too much time, I only started exercising seven months after the baby was born.
Listen to your body
But even though my first lesson was inthe gym was supervised by a trainer, it turned out to be extremely unsuccessful. After the first workout, I felt so bad that I almost passed out. It was already difficult to even get to the locker room. Do not repeat my mistakes. Listen to yourself, to your body. No trainer will understand for you that it is really hard for you and you should reduce the load or completely stop the workout. Do not be embarrassed by this, do not rush into all seriousness right away. After such an unsuccessful experience, your hands drop, you want to stop training. This kind of fitness will do more harm than good. But the desire to do sports turned out to be stronger, and I gave it a second chance. Now I have come to the point that several times a week I can work out in the gym. For the first time in my life, this is not only cardio training, but mostly strength training.Photo by:
Motivation
I understand that not all mothers can go to the gym. Some people have no one to leave their baby with even for a couple of hours, others don’t have a fitness club nearby or the financial means. But I’m sure there is a way out. Sometimes I get up before my child so that I can work out before my husband leaves for work. Although I love to sleep and have dreamed of getting a good night’s sleep at least once in the past year. If I can’t get out at all, I work out at home. For many, this is a way out. I know mothers who have achieved excellent results by working out only at home. Yes, it’s easier to get distracted at home, there’s less space or no equipment. But there are also advantages: you don’t have to waste time getting ready and traveling, you can work out at any convenient time. And almost every mother has a fitball and a mat. You can supplement this set with kettlebells or dumbbells. In the summer, you can run outside while your baby is still sleeping with dad or is already snoring in the evening. If you have older children, you can come up with a fun cardio routine and work out together. This is exactly what I plan to do in the future. I will immediately start doing sports myself and will start to accustom the baby to sports. I know how difficult it is to start, how many "buts" and "ifs" there are. But it is real, honestly! When the child has not slept half the night, do not torture yourself, go to bed together during the day. But not every day is like that, right? At least twice a week it is worth finding the strength and time for fitness. After all, it is our appearance, our health. The child needs a happy, healthy mother. Sometimes I have a lot of other things to do or I am so lazy that I want to give up training. But after the session I am so pleased with myself that this is my best motivation! And hormones of happiness after sports definitely exist. Check it out yourself!
