"We are responsible for those we have tamed,"A surprisingly apt phrase, spoken by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry through the lips of the Little Prince. His character – a sweet, sensitive and sincere boy – immediately understood the essence of the relationship between a person and his pet. “You can’t betray those for whom you are responsible,” Aditya Raheja slightly paraphrased this expression. She and her husband Sanjana Madappa live in Bangalore, a large scientific and industrial center of India. It is also called the Indian Silicon Valley – because there are many enterprises serving high-tech industries. And there are also many stray animals there. The couple is not concerned with high technology, but with the problems of our smaller brothers. Both of them work in a city shelter for dogs. And at home, of course, they also have a “full cup” – five four-legged ones. When Aditya became pregnant, friends, relatives and even doctors unanimously advised her one thing – to get rid of the dogs in the house. They say it will be better for the health of their firstborn. But for Aditya and her husband, dogs are also children. Only covered in fur. They practically adopted them, raised them and looked after them. So the husband and wife did not listen to the advice. Instead, they did the exact opposite - they included their animals in the family photo shoot "Our Happy Family", dedicated to the expectation of the firstborn. It turns out that pets are waiting for the birth of a child no less than the parents themselves. "We did this to immediately answer all the critics of our lifestyle. We felt that we had to show how important dogs are in our lives," the future parents explained.
