Need I say that the bag in the hospital you needprepare in advance. It is desirable a month before the expected birthday of your baby. Little you know what, and in the battles you will clearly not up to dues. The first question is where to put all the good. Old suitcase and sports bag leave on the mezzanine. In most maternity homes the main requirement is that things should be brought in cellophane bags or in oilcloth bags. It is believed that they have less dirt. Even a small bag of ladies to carry with them will not be allowed. We divide the maternity ward into three packages: the first one is needed during childbirth, the second and the third one is prepared for the postpartum department - for you and the baby. Collect the fourth package for discharge and leave at home. It will be brought by your relatives when they meet from the hospital. Put there a blanket or an envelope, as well as a dress for yourself, if you want a photo session with an extract. And, of course, there must be a child seat in the car. So, what things will be needed in the maternity hospital:Photo: Getty Images

NightgownIn the maternity hospital they may give you one toodisposable, but it will be very thin and translucent. Take the cheapest shirt that you won't mind getting dirty. Drinking water How do you know how many hours the contractions will last? You will definitely want to drink from rapid breathing. Take still water in small bottles. Cookies for a snack Of course, you don't need to overeat during labor. And you won't want to. But having a snack if the contractions drag on won't hurt. Towel and rubber slippers Many people escape painful contractions in the shower. So a towel and flip-flops will come in handy. Compression stockings Now doctors often advise wearing them during labor to reduce the load on the veins. The stockings are not cheap - from 1,500 to 3,500 rubles. But are they really necessary? In this matter, it is worth consulting a phlebologist.Things for the baby I did not buy undershirts and rompers. They usually ride up, forming folds. My child's first wardrobe was a jumpsuit with rivets and cuffs that turn into mittens - a great alternative to anti-scratch mittens. And instead of a bonnet, I bought a cute baby knit hat. In addition to clothes, put a couple of flannel diapers and nappies in the delivery bag.

Postpartum padsIn the first days of dischargewill be very strong - regular pads will definitely not do the job. Postpartum pads are not cheap, but they are very soft and absorb better. For 4 days, I took 2 packs of 10 pads each, and it was not enough for me. I used 8-10 pads per day, in total for the entire stay - about 4 packs. Price per pack - 300 rubles. Total: 1200 rubles. Mesh shorts They stretch well, do not tighten the stomach, and most importantly - let air through. You will wear them in the maternity hospital instead of regular panties, along with a postpartum pad. 2-3 shorts will be enough. Price per piece - 70 rubles. Total: 140-210 rubles. Baby wet wipes One of the main consumables. They will be useful for both the baby and you. Choose wipes without a strong smell so that the child does not have an allergy. The price for a large pack is from 50 to 800 rubles. Examination diapers Regular disposable diapers with an absorbent layer on one side and a non-leaking layer on the other. You will need them for examinations and ultrasounds, and the baby will need them for changing diapers. One pack is usually enough. 10 pieces in a pack - 110 rubles. Nursing bra A very comfortable and, for me personally, irreplaceable thing. Do not expect to fit into your old bra. Take bras with soft cups that do not tighten the chest and at the same time support it well. I took 2 bras to the maternity hospital. The price per piece is from 250 to 3900 rubles. Total: 500-7800 rubles. Nipple cream Get ready - at first, your nipples will hurt. Although babies do not have teeth, they squeeze their gums like crazy. Therefore, nipple cream is not an excess, but your salvation. It softens rough skin and disinfects it at the same time. There are different creams, but choose those that do not need to be washed off before breastfeeding your baby. Among them are Bepantent Cream (from 425 rubles) and Medela Purelan100 (from 435 rubles). What else you will need: socks, a robe, a nightgown, toiletries, a cosmetic bag, a cutlery set (mug, bowl, spoon), paper toilet seats, wet toilet paper, a notebook and pen (for writing down the pediatrician's advice), a phone charger, a phone, a book or a tablet.Photo: Getty ImagesControversial:Breast pump (from 300 rubles for a manual one to 20 thousand for an electric one) If you immediately "hook" the baby on expressed milk from a bottle, there is a risk that he will not learn to take the breast. Yes, it may be difficult, but try your best if you want to raise your child on breast milk. And if it is not enough, the baby can always be fed with formula in the maternity hospital. However, for mothers who are not going to sit on maternity leave for a long time, a breast pump is a necessary thing. Expressing milk manually is a thankless task, both for you and for the future shape of your breasts. Silicone nipple shields (500-650 rubles per pair) I myself have not used them, but the reviews on the Internet are not impressive. Women complain that the shields come off, remaining in the baby's mouth. Someone says that they form an incorrect latch on the breast in the baby. In addition, they need to be constantly sterilized - in the maternity hospital, you will clearly have no time for this. So be patient, and soon breastfeeding will become a pleasure for you. Pacifier (from 70 to 600 rubles) In my maternity hospital, pacifiers were not welcomed. Doctors said that this could wean the child from the breast. As a result, all 4 days in the maternity hospital my baby was without a pacifier, and I walked around sleepy as a moth. At home, I gave my son a pacifier without a twinge of conscience, and there were no problems with breastfeeding. In addition, it is better for a child to suck on a pacifier than a finger. However, the choice is yours. Some people manage to raise children without pacifiers. Breast pads (from 145 to 1,500 rubles) Usually, the flow of milk occurs on the third to fifth day after birth. Before this, the baby feeds on colostrum - a secretion of the mammary glands, which is no less useful for the child, and most importantly, very nutritious. By this point, you will most likely have been discharged home. Therefore, you will hardly need maternity pads in the hospital. However, not everyone will have milk flowing like from a cornucopia after giving birth. My pack of pads remained unopened, only sometimes I put cotton pads in my bra. Postpartum bandage (from 560 to 5,950 rubles) Of course, after giving birth, like all women, I wanted to get back in shape as quickly as possible. Therefore, a bandage was one of the first purchases when packing for the maternity hospital. You will not be able to do abdominal exercises for at least 6 weeks after giving birth, and a compression belt helps to return the stretched belly to its previous state. However, I wore the bandage only for the first two days, and then I simply abandoned it. I got back in shape without it. You understand that no miracle belt will save you if you overeat and lie on the couch all the time. But for mothers after a cesarean section, the bandage will be useful - it will not allow the postoperative suture to come apart and will protect it from accidental mechanical damage.

It will cost from 2,000 to 8,000 thousand rubles. However, you will have to buy most of the things additionally, and some, on the contrary, will be superfluous. In addition, one oilcloth bag in this set will cost 500-700 rubles. Believe me, with the birth of the baby, there will be something to spend this money on.
