When does the baby start jostling?
The first fetal movements are felt at about17-18 weeks. At first, these are barely noticeable movements, which a pregnant woman may not pay attention to. In themselves, they resemble the fluttering of a butterfly or a swimming fish. From the 21-22 week, the jolts become more noticeable, women who have given birth feel them earlier, this is explained by the fact that they have a more sensitive uterine wall. Experienced mothers already know when the baby has started to push, and do not confuse the first movements with their peristalsis or gas formation.
Why does the baby push?
In the second trimester, the stomach is very active, there is enough space for him to move in the womb - he turns over and spins around his entire "house". The reasons for the baby's active movements are completely natural, individual for each child. Children, like adults, have their own temperament, they turn in the womb, changing position. According to ultrasound observations, the child drinks amniotic fluid, turns his head, moves his arms and legs, takes the umbilical cord in his hands and sorts it out. Many babies begin to push after the mother eats sweet food. The baby can react to external irritants with pushes: - loud sounds; - the parents' voice; - a ride on the subway. The baby also pushes hard, sensing changes in the mother's mood: when she calms down, the fetus behaves quietly, and when she is nervous, he kicks. Although some babies react to the mother's mood exactly the opposite.
What should I do if the baby is strongly pushed?
When your baby starts kicking, talk to him.baby. As a rule, mothers hear the kicking of the baby better during the calm period. When the mother gets up and moves, the baby decreases in activity, since the vibrations of the amniotic fluid during walking lull him. Growing up, the baby often kicks, you can see how he turns over, observing the changes in the shape of the abdomen. During this period, mothers notice the first hiccups of the baby. This phenomenon does not occur in all children and in both cases is normal.
At what pace of movements of the baby should I go to the doctor?
Until the 26th week, movements may subsidefor a long time. During this period, its movements are quite weak and not always noticeable. From the 26th-28th week, 10 movements in 2-3 hours are considered normal. There is even a calendar of fetal movements, based on which a woman counts how many times the baby pushes, and records every tenth push. If a woman feels that the baby has calmed down for a longer period of time, she should get up and walk around or eat something sweet; if there is no reaction, contact your doctor. On the contrary, too active fetal movements can be directly related to the mother’s uncomfortable position. The vessels are compressed, the blood supply to the umbilical cord decreases, and the baby can push hard, indicating a lack of oxygen.
What activity of the baby should cause anxiety?
A decrease is considered an indicator of a possible threator complete disappearance of fetal activity. This may be a consequence of hypoxia - lack of oxygen in the baby's body. Depending on the pregnancy period, the woman is prescribed special procedures, medications that increase the oxygen content in the baby's blood. The main thing for a woman expecting a baby is proper nutrition, walks in the fresh air, less stress and a good mood. Read also:
