With the question we turned to the father of the 9-year-old circus artist Arsen Manucharyan, the hero of the project "Best of all" on Channel One.

“In our family, everyone is a circus performer,”Andrey Manucharyan says. - Arsen was, so to speak, born in the arena, at the age of 5 he was already performing on a horse. Then he worked as a clown. When he went to school, this stopped - he devoted most of his time to studying. True, the circus captivated him, and he began to rehearse little by little. At first, his wife was against it, but Arsen and I managed to convince his mother. About six months ago, he asked to buy a hoverboard and came up with a number. My son rides it and spins a pole with fire, and also a heavy metal cube that is taller than him.

Maintain aspirations

- Arsen's number is complex and dangerous.At first, my wife and I were worried, because fire is not a toy for children. But our son is a cautious and smart guy, he evaluates every step, thinks about how to achieve the goal. And since we agreed with his choice, we help him in every way, support him: if you take on something, go all the way. Adults cannot know what talents are hidden in their children. And here our son showed it himself. So, we need to help him open up, we need to work with him, talk to him in order to understand him. Do not scare

— The trick with the car is very difficult.I used to pull cars and wagons like that myself. But sometimes I couldn’t do it either. How surprised I was when a year ago Arsen came up to a car parked in the arena, threw a rope around his neck and… pulled. I didn’t have time to warn him that it was too early for him to do that. However, my son liked it. That’s how it all started. I believe that children should be accustomed to sports and stunts from childhood, so that they are not afraid. If I had shouted to Arsen then: “Stop! You can’t!”, he would have been scared and, perhaps, would never have been able to overcome himself. Fear can consume you once and for all. You need to explain to your child that you can’t do a stunt right away, you should work towards great results little by little, slowly, with training. You need to be very subtle with children. The maximum weight my son can lift now is 2 tons. He came to this figure gradually.

Teach you to achieve your goal

— Now I am a predator trainer, my wife workswith snakes and dogs. And in 2000, she was the only woman in Russia who flew under the circus dome on her hair. Marina also participated in strength acts. My daughters also worked with snakes, a crocodile, twirled a fiery hula hoop under the circus dome - all the acts were complex and extreme. So is my son. He watches all this, learns from me, from the artists of our circus big top and gradually conquers new heights. If he stays to work in the circus - great, if not - he will achieve other successes. By the way, he loves mathematics very much and gets "4" and "5" grades. For this, thanks to his class teacher Marina Gennadyevna, who helps him a lot.

Do not limit

— We don’t forbid our son anything at all.If Arsen wants to play on the computer, he does, but he gets bored quickly. We don't really encourage Coca-Cola, chips, or fast food. And sometimes we offer it ourselves, but he refuses. If you constantly forbid something to a child, he will only want it more: if they forbid me, it means there is something there. You can't be guided only by prohibitions. Of course, sometimes we punish him for something. But his punishment is to do fifty push-ups. He huffs and puffs, but he does it, like an adult, like a man.

To stick to one opinion

- Arsen is very sensitive to his mother,great love. When he does abdominal exercises every day, Marina sits on his feet, and he gets up and kisses her. But my mother can be strict, and in this regard, we are an ordinary family. My wife and I have been together for 25 years, and during all this time, she has never interfered with my principles of raising my son or said that she felt sorry for him. Just as I have never allowed myself to do the same, if she scolded the children for something. We maintain each other's parental authority. Arsen has the floor: - I dream of becoming a good artist. What does this mean to me? Never make mistakes, be in demand, smart and artistic. It happens that I want to be an athlete, and sometimes a dancer. I have not seriously thought about the future yet. I like to read. My favorite book is the play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." I like listening to music, such singers as Grigory Leps, Dima Bilan, Adriano Celentano, Michael Jackson. At home in Gukovo I have three dogs, a parrot, two snakes and a lioness. And my favorite four-legged friend is a German shorthaired pointer puppy named Charlie. He is only a month old, and I feed him milk. I have many friends both in class and in the circus. True, my classmates have not been to our performances, we are on tour far away. For my birthday I really want to get an ATV. I have already tried to ride it. I think that I became like this because my dad is next to me!
