Iron with steam generator tefalIron with steam generator TefalPhoto:Press service archivesFor the review, we chose a "home" gadget from Tefal - the Tefal Pro Express GV8460 steam generator. It must be admitted that the Pro Express is larger and "more significant" than a regular iron. But this is understandable: instead of a miniature water tank, it has a built-in almost two-liter bowl, capable of providing enough liquid for steam, which will be six times more powerful than usual! Why do we need this steam? As the test drive showed, the question should be formulated differently: "How did we live without a steam generator?" Theory and practice of use have proven that this device has many advantages. Firstly, in a matter of seconds, the toughest materials succumb to a stream of steam - jeans that have become stiff after washing and drying are brought into an ideal condition, thick wool becomes more pleasant to the touch, and bed linen folded several times is ironed in a surprising way, as if you carefully ironed each layer. Secondly, the steam generator can handle even silk and velvet. And thirdly, it is finally possible to really quickly cope with a large amount of ironing: the steam smoothes everything itself, without requiring any extra effort. In addition, the system is equipped with a special collector for collecting scale, with which the steam generator will last a long time. And it is not difficult to remove scale: you just need to take out the collector and rinse it under running water. As a result, the experiment showed that the steam generator is unlikely to be another novelty for the home gathering dust in the closet. Each of us will find a lot of reasons and occasions to use it. And even if we did not use a stopwatch, it was clear: hot steam will save a lot of time for more pleasant things.
