This is another reminder that we are at a "post station". A similar theme can be seen in the decor of the plates and napkins. Photo 2, 3. To make a "shoulder strap" ring, you will need blue felt, metal buttons, square napkins made of coarse unbleached linen, a tape measure, scissors, chalk, a needle, thread, and a sewing machine. Photo 4. Using a tape measure and chalk, mark out a 6x2.5 cm rectangle on the felt. Then cut it out and adjust it to fit the napkin.Picture 1. Rectangle bend in half and cut one side so that it resembles the shoulder. Photo 2. The edges of the blue felt do not crumble, which means they do not need any processing. The seam will be exclusively decorative. We deduct the "shoulder strap" on the sewing machine, leaving the allowance 0.5 cm from the edge. The stitch length must be maximal. Photo 3, 4. We try the "run" ring on a pre-folded linen napkin. Using the tailor's centimeter and chalk, we plan the future location of the button, after which we make a cut under the loop.Photo 1, 2, 3. Sew a metal button to the "shoulder strap", add a napkin made from coarse unbleached flax in the manner shown in the upper photo. We fasten the button. Ring-"shoulder straps" is ready.Photo 1, 2.To make a candlestick you will need a regular ruler, a paper cutter, garden shears, a hot glue gun, rods, a skein of thin twine, and a thick candle. Photo 3, 4. Measure the required length of the rod using a ruler. In our case, this is 2/3 of the height of the candle. Then, using a paper cutter, make a "standard". Align the remaining fragments according to the sample with shears.Photo 1, 2. We put on the hot-melt rods and immediately apply it to the candle. While the rod is not stuck, hold it with your hand. The glue will fully seize in 30 seconds. Repeat the operation until the candle is completely framed.Photo 3, 4. To permanently fix the previously pasted rods, and to give the future candlestick more decorative, we use a twine. Because our twine is too thin, twist three of its segments into one.Photo 1, 2.After the twine is tied, fix the resulting knot with hot glue and cut off the remains. The candlestick is ready. Photo 3. A train station for two. A little romance is brought into the atmosphere by porcelain plates GL Coquet (Austria), crystal glasses Villeroy & Boch (Germany), cutlery WMF (Germany), lit candles and a vase with hyacinths. The editors would like to thank the Arben gallery, the House of Porcelain and the Villeroy & Boch salon for their help in preparing the material. Below you will find advice from stylists on how to beautifully braid
