Food prices sanctions OrenburgChecks cover a list of 40 items.Photo: Elena KazantsevAt the question “Why has it risen in price?” in the Orenburg grocery stores and in the markets they increasingly began to answer: “So the sanctions are the same!” However, not all buyers are satisfied with this explanation. What can the sanctions actually affect? For the answers, Woman’s Day went to the city committee of the consumer market and, together with its employees, went to monitor prices. Prices for many products have not changed, but some of the “sanctioned” products really raised questions. For example, suppliers of vegetables, such as carrots and tomatoes, raised prices by 1-2 rubles. Moreover, the store itself added its three rubles to the price of tomatoes, but the owner of the outlet in the presence of inspectors hurried to remove this surcharge, explaining its appearance by the carelessness of sellers correcting price tags. The cheapest sausage disappeared from sale: the store did not order more to sell the existing more expensive assortment. But the biggest surprise was waiting for the inspectors at the counter with cheese. One of the Orenburg producers raised prices for all types of their products at once by 25-62 rubles! - Since August 25, two Orenburg sausage producers and one poultry factory have increased prices for their products, Tetra Pak ", Says Alexei Shirobokov, chairman of the consumer market, services and business development committee of the Orenburg administration. “Now we know that the local cheese maker has increased selling prices.” For all such cases, we ask entrepreneurs to explain the reasons and, if necessary, transfer the materials to the FAS. We can say one thing for sure: the imposition of sanctions is not an excuse for appreciation! For example, the share of imported hard cheeses in the retail networks of the city is only 3-5% - this is often the elite brands. Vegetables - and even more so all local. Many farmers build greenhouses to grow crops in the cold season. Fruits travel to Orenburg mainly from Uzbekistan, to which no sanctions apply. Now also the possibility of deliveries from Turkey, Egypt and Serbia is being studied. So the listed product categories should not go up due to the sanctions.
