According to the mayor, all the approvals have already been made and there is simply no point in protesting. In addition, Luzhkov does not want to see the city under his patronage in ruins. "Experts have established that these buildings have no architectural value, this has been established by serious experts. Is this even normal - buildings in such a state, this wasteland? They have been in this state for the past ten years, and now a worthy project in the spirit of Zamoskvorechye is being planned there," the mayor was indignant on air. Luzhkov noted that he had already made enough concessions to local residents when he agreed to review the project, after which it was significantly reduced.
