The exotic visitor of the Ural lake was greeted unfriendly: the bird was weakened and clearly starved. In addition, flamingos do not tolerate minus temperature and may die from the cold. The flamingo was discovered in the evening, fishermen did not catch it in the dark. But already in the morning with the help of a fishing net rescued from the lake. Now the bird is overexposed by the inspectors of hunting surveillance. In the near future he will be sent to the zoo in Ufa. Interestingly, this year exotic visitors were observed not only by residents of Magnitogorsk. Eight pink flamingos were seen in one of the districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The other day flamingos flew to Tomsk region. The nearest place to us, where pink flamingos nest, is on the coast of the Caspian Sea, in Kazakhstan. During seasonal migrations they can be seen in the regions bordering the republic. However, these birds fly very rarely to the territory of the Urals and Siberia. Pink flamingos are listed in the Red Book. For hunting they are provided with a fine of 50 thousand rubles.
