Crafts from rosesCrafts from rosesWe have already twisted roses from paperspirals and decorated the festive table with them (see the master class). Now we will use the same technique, but only with wool (felt). By the way, this Christmas tree ball is essentially a stylized pomander - a traditional European festive decoration that is made not only from oranges and cloves, but also from fresh flowers. For work you will need: a foam rubber ball (diameter - 5 cm), 16-20 felt circles (diameter - 7.5 cm), leaves cut out of felt, as well as pins, scissors, glue, a button, woolen threads and a needle.

  • Step 1. Using a needle, thread through the central axis of the ball.
  • Step 2. We thread a button on a thread and once again pierce the ball through, drawing a needle on the other side of the ball at the first end of the thread.

  • Step 3. We tie both ends of the thread in a knot to make a loop for hanging our ball.
  • Step 4. We cut each felt circle in a spiral, as shown in the photo, so that the width of the spiral is approximately 1 cm.

  • Step 5. Twist the roll from the felt, starting at the outer end of the helix. Secure the edge with glue. Apply glue to the base of the rose.
  • Step 6. Glue the first rose onto the ball next to the loop. Pin it down with a few studs for reliability (until the glue dries).

  • Step 7: Continue covering the entire surface of the ball with roses using glue and pins.
  • Step 8. When the glue is dry, remove the pins. Decorate the center of each flower with a decorative pin with a pearl bead at the end. At the base of the loop attach green felt leaves.

  • Our ball is ready.
  • Using the same technique, you can do it yourself and make such a funny little Christmas tree.
