Moorish Style Photos: Shutterstock.comThe first Moorish (Muslim) gardens are oases in the hot desert, ennobled by man. According to legend, the Moorish garden is a "descendant" of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Its main features are the pond as a central element, the division into squares, the use of fragrant flower crops, and decorative paving. In Europe, Moorish gardens appeared in the VII – VIII centuries AD, during Muslim rule in Spain.
