Only a few years ago it became fashionable to celebrate this Sabbath, which arose thanks to the Celts. It was they who came up with the idea of celebrating the coming of winter on October 31 and November 1 and believed that this night was special, mystical. So, in their opinion, the prince of darkness ruled with his subjects this night and at that time the earth could visit the souls of the dead, so that meet with their relatives. Of course, the spirits reincarnated and even took on the appearance of animals. Therefore, for the Celts, the main attribute of the feast was a terrible animal costume. However, later, when the celebration of the Catholic Day of All Saints (or, as it was shortly called, Halloween) joined the pagan mystical event, which was called Samhein, then the inducement of various evil , in order to protect themselves from all sorts of misfortunes and troubles.

Therefore, a kind of web was hung on the walls, which could easily be made from threads, brooms and pumpkin accessories (scary candlesticks with a creepy grin, unusual vases, bowls) were placed in the corners, special lamps were hung, which could be covered with gauze on top, thus imitating ghosts. Special "scary" table setting and creepy dishes, shaped like severed fingers, eyes or the same heads of dead people (made from small pumpkins), perfectly completed the image and helped to feel the ominous atmosphere of the festive night.
