How to choose a saucepanHow to choose a saucepan Photo: SERGEY MORGUNOVTested models of saucepans Photo:SERGEY MORGUNOVRecently, many models of saucepans of various configurations have appeared on the shelves. They are similar to each other not only in capacity and shape, but also in the material from which they are made. These can be saucepans made of stainless steel, aluminum, glass or cast iron, as well as metal products with different types of coating (enamel, ceramic or non-stick coatings based on polymer compounds, the most famous of which is Teflon). In addition, the models differ in the design of the handles, lids, their appearance and, of course, price. It is not easy to navigate in this abundance of goods. So we decided to evaluate the design and properties of various types of saucepans in practice. Chef Alexey Dyma acted as an expert. For testing, we selected six models of saucepans from well-known brands. The materials of manufacture are the most fashionable today: stainless steel, metal with ceramic coating, metal with non-stick coating. Alexey Dyma used each saucepan to prepare some dish (he took fairly simple but popular recipes - vegetable soup, oatmeal or rice porridge). And the chef gave his expert opinion on each model. Here is what we got in the end.
