1. A Motley Company

Home barHome BarSurround the table with mismatched chairs— is a popular decorative technique used in decorating dining rooms. It will also work great in a bar. Here, a traditional bar stool and its modern designer "descendants" come together. Their proximity brings an element of irony to the "sleek" snow-white interior. Note that the stools differ not only in design, but also in height. Thanks to this, all family members, young and old, will be comfortable sitting at the bar.

2. Figure it out for two

It is believed that the bar requires space and insmall apartment it does not belong. Here is an example that proves the opposite. A similar mini-bar can be arranged in the kitchen and in the living room. There would be a suitable niche. The role of the rack will take on the table on high legs. Shelves and a low cabinet can be placed along the wall. One trouble: there is no room for a barman anymore. Well, I'll have to switch to self-service!

3. I see you, you don't see me

The construction of wooden slats is good becauselooks like a full-fledged wall, but at the same time lets in light. Such a partition will hide both a wine cabinet and a mezzanine filled with all sorts of things - no one will notice the mess from the living room. In such a bar, you can perfectly hide from annoying household members. Or at a party, retire with a bosom buddy to chat about the most important things. For example, about replacing tires. The light breaking through the cracks in the walls evokes associations with the tropics: midday heat, sea breeze, strawberry margarita (the seventh was clearly unnecessary) -

4. Line up according to your height!

Don't look for bar counters in furniture catalogs— as a rule, manufacturers offer only various components (bases, tabletops, hanging shelves, etc.), which can be assembled at your own discretion. There is another option - to refuse to use ready-made modules at all and make a custom-made counter. This is done not only out of a desire for beauty and individuality, but also in order to get a bar of a non-standard size. The fact is that the usual height of this structure (1.10-1.20 m) is designed for a person of average height; for those who are too tall (or, conversely, short), it is not suitable. You should also take into account the size of the chairs, which also vary greatly. Wise people do this: first, choose comfortable seats and order a counter for them.

5. The Great Illusion

Whatever you say, alcohol is an escape fromreality. There are two ways to go wild: drink more alcohol or decorate the bar with glass and mirrors. The play of light and reflection will make your head spin more than some cocktails! For those who are inclined to observe moderation in everything, there is another option: use mirrors only to decorate the shelves with alcohol. This typical "bar" technique is designed to create a visual illusion of abundance: the number of bottles on the shelves will "at least double".

6. Complete set

A properly equipped bar should definitely haveThere must be a sink and a refrigerator. Any specialist will tell you this. Of course, you can do without these amenities, but think about what you are condemning yourself to: you will have to constantly run from one end of the apartment to the other - either for a clean glass or for a fresh portion of ice. If it is problematic to bring water to the living room, it is better to equip a bar right in the kitchen. Especially since the passion for kitchen gatherings is still ineradicable. At the same time, you will solve a lot of other problems. The bar will help visually delimit the space; for example, separate the cooking area from the adjoining dining room. In your free time from drinking, you can serve breakfast for the whole family on the counter or use it as an additional work surface. As a rule, the bar is made of the same material as the kitchen furniture - so that the space looks more integral.

7. For an amateur

Some people start a home bar to impressthe guests' imagination, while others do it for the soul. Here, the second option is obvious. The compact counter occupies a modest place in the corner of the living room. And it is impossible not to notice it - the custom-made structure, covered with artificial leather, exactly matches the spirit of the interior, designed in a retro style. Mixing complex cocktails in such a bar is problematic (there is not enough space), but it easily turns into a cozy area for tête-à-tête communication: for this, it is enough to turn on the lamps above the counter and turn off all other light sources in the room. By the way, such a counter can be put on wheels (just do not forget to equip them with a stop), and it will freely travel throughout the house.

8. Divide and conquer!

Such a partition (the easiest way to build it is fromplasterboard) not only separates the bar's work area from the living room. At the same time, it creates distance between people. This is the intrigue: someone will have to take on the role of the service staff, and someone - their clientele. Then you can play role-playing games: complain about underfilling, flirt with the bartender or pretend to be a drunk regular - a couple of stronger cocktails - and you can easily come up with a few more exciting scenarios!

9. Everybody dance!

Dancing on the bar is a mustitem on the agenda of many entertainment venues. You can have fun at home just as well! This laconic stand is ideal for choreographic exercises - there is no risk of dropping or knocking anything over. Seriously, such a bar is good because it does not overload the interior with an abundance of complex design elements, and therefore easily fits into the living space. As for glasses and bottles, some of them are placed in baskets on a narrow shelf behind the bar, and for storing everything else, you can equip shelves on the inside of the stand.
