Coffee table decor
Treat the surface of the table (tabletop and legs) with fine sandpaper to ensure that the paint goes well. It is more convenient to work with the table in a disassembled form.
Mix the paint unevenly on the palette –black and reddish-brown. Dip a sponge in paint and apply it to the surface of the tabletop with the sponge. Apply it to one part of the tabletop with broad strokes so that the stripes of paint are "readable". Apply the paint to the other part with light touches so that textured imprints remain. Paint the legs of the table.
Printed recipes for various mulled wines should be ripped off unevenly at the edges - it is better if the recipes themselves are not damaged in the process.
Burn the edges of each piece of paper.
Before gluing to the surface of the table topdip the paper in water and take it out immediately. Wet paper "stretches" better on the surface. Apply PVA glue, stick the recipe and remove excess glue from under the paper by smoothing it with your hand. Leave space on the tabletop for the dummy drawing.
Make strong coffee. Tone their recipes with a brush. The paper should be a nice golden color. The edges of the paper pieces toned again, so that they become darker. Let the recipes dry.
Cut out a paper stencil for the image of a saucer. Place it on the surface, apply ivory paint with a sponge.
Apply images of several using a stencilcinnamon sticks. Use a thin brush to draw the details. To make the sticks look real, paint the edges with darker paint, make shadows. Make highlights with a lighter tone.
Draw the shadow of the saucer with dark paint. Draw the details of the saucer - depict the bottom, the edge, the highlights.
Draw another cinnamon stick on the saucer, several cloves, apple slices. Draw details of objects and shadows from them. When the paint dries, apply some golden spray paint. Finish the finished surface with acrylic spray varnish. Glue a real cinnamon stick with a glue gun.
By the wayIn the described technique you can make it for yourself or ingift a beautiful box for storing spices. Mix black and red-brown paint on a palette. Using a sponge, apply paint to the surface of the box. Prepare mulled wine recipes for work, as described in the steps of the master class - tear off, burn the edges and glue. Make a strong coffee solution. Tint the recipes, applying the solution with a brush. Apply images of a cinnamon stick using a stencil. Draw the details with a thin brush. Draw shadows with a darker paint, make highlights with a lighter tone. Depict a star anise, cloves, a peppercorn. When the acrylic dries, lightly spray the box with gold spray paint - there should be a little gold. After drying, cover the surface with acrylic spray varnish.
