Cocktail "Manhattan" from the movie "In the jazz only girls"

Jazz is always improvisation.Darling (aka Marilyn Monroe) from the famous comedy simply improvises masterfully. No shaker? Big deal. You can mix a great cocktail even in an ordinary hot water bottle. Plus, it will fit more – enough for the whole company! The beauty prepares a Manhattan, although the translators of the film into Russian forgot to tell the audience this name. But we know for sure. Ingredients: Red vermouth (20 ml) Rye whiskey or bourbon (60 ml) Angostura bitters (a couple of drops) And you will get exactly that – Manhattan. By the way, the exotic Angostura can be replaced with the more familiar Riga balsam or Campari. Don’t be afraid to experiment. It’s jazz! There is a version that the cocktail was invented by Winston Churchill’s mother. Don’t believe it. Even before Prohibition (it was raging in 1920-1932), New York bars prepared a lot of “geographical” drinks – for example, “Long Island” or “Bronx”. So there is no need to slander the worthy Mrs. Churchill. Music for the mood: add a little bit of Marilyn Monroe. It tastes better that way.
