The apartment is very bright, cozy, and it had what I dreamed of: a combined kitchen-living room. I really love guests, but my other half is a more withdrawn person, likes to be alone with her thoughts. But we find a compromise and once a week we always have a party. I usually greet guests with tea and sweets like pies, cookies, halva in chocolate, which Zhenya and I adore. I don’t like to cook in a hurry, I like to be in the kitchen on weekends. I am fundamentally against microwaves, I think that the food in them is dead, so I have an old oven. I love cooking fish dishes, Chilean sea bass, shrimp. I hardly ever use books (although there are books by Yulia Vysotskaya), recipes just come to me. I make salads for which there are no recipes at all, I add all sorts of things. My signature dish is pasta. My mother taught me to make spaghetti in tomato sauce: tomatoes in their own juice, basil, spices, pasta made from durum wheat. I love tuna, both fresh and canned. Today I made a salad with it. On special occasions, I can make lasagna myself, I have forms for this, I buy special pasta sheets, layers, grind the meat, add spices.
