Ice rinkPhoto:ShutterstockThe new Moscow skating rink, which will open in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure in a few days, will be located on an area of 15,000 square meters. Thanks to its gigantic area, it will be the largest by European and Russian standards. A large German architectural company was engaged in the design of the ultra-modern facility, and the ice covering was entrusted to the Russian manufacturer - the company "Russian Cold". In addition to the large skating rink, the territory will have a dance and children's area, small lanes, a modern hockey rink and even a figure skating school. Of course, there will also be a sports equipment rental, for which 4 thousand pairs of skates alone were purchased. A panoramic pedestrian bridge was built over the entire area, along which you can walk through the rink to other corners of the park. The skating rink is not the only winter entertainment built in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure for the new season. From December 17, a large New Year's fair and design market will open there, where you can choose original New Year's gifts, toys, clothes from the latest collections of modern Russian designers, try Christmas gingerbread and other holiday treats. By the way, the organizers have carefully taken care that none of the vacationers will go hungry: four restaurants, a cafe-bakery and an ice bar will open on the territory. For those who prefer skiing to skating, Neskuchny Garden will have a 4 km long ski track with two looped routes, ski equipment rental and a cozy cafe. And one of the slopes of the garden will turn into a snow slide, where you can ride on sleds. The new skating rink will be maintained in perfect condition until spring: it is planned that it will close only on March 15, 2012.
