Vase from a bottleAnd so she struck himimagination, that the collection of vases, glasses and decanters tranSglass was born. The collection was a huge success, and Tord and his wife Emma Woffenden had to reissue it many times (until the nearest glass collection point ran out of containers). If you want to get your hands on this beautiful designer object, you have two options: 1. Go to London, where tranSglass is sold at the Rabih Hage Gallery. 2. Make them yourself. There will be no problem with the raw materials: empty bottles are not uncommon in our area! Manufacturing method: The easiest way to cut the bottle is with a cutting wheel. If you don’t have one at hand, you can use the tried and tested “old-fashioned” method. Wrap the vessel with thick woolen thread soaked in kerosene or gasoline. Light the thread and, once it burns, lower the bottle into a bucket of cold water. The glass will break along the heating line. Smooth the edges with a sharpening stone or other abrasive tool, pouring plenty of water over them.
