Future carsCars of the FuturePhoto:ShutterstockA team from the Institute of Advanced Industrial Technology led by Professor Shigeomi Koshimizu presented an extremely interesting development. A complex device consisting of 360 pressure sensors is attached to the driver's seat. When first presented, the sensors record the difference in pressure exerted by different parts of the buttocks and thighs on the car seat. Based on this, a three-dimensional model of the car owner's buttocks is formed, which is then used by the car's electronic system to recognize it. According to the developers, at this stage their invention works with an accuracy of up to 98%. What to do for the other 2% of owners, whose butts will be unrecognized, is still unclear. In addition, the system is only good for people with a constant weight, and for those losing weight, gaining weight, and pregnant women, this technology is not very suitable. In addition, in families and couples, two or more drivers can use one car, and the system currently remembers only one virtual fingerprint of the owner's stern. In fairness, it must be said that this is just a prototype of a future anti-theft device that requires adjustment to the changing reality.  By the way, back in 2010 it was announced.
