But our mistresses, who are not used to stopping at what has been achieved, have long used the idea of flaky cakes with stuffing for other purposes: they are preparing an absolutely wonderful snack cake, which for the sake of clarity is also called Napoleon. All the charm of the dish lies in its variability, excellent taste, beautiful appearance, ease of delivery, and not least because it can be cooked in advance - a snack cake Napoleon, standing for several hours in the fridge, is much tastier than a cake, which was prepared just now. What about the filling, then everything depends on the imagination of the cook: you can shift the layered cakes to everything that falls on the soul. Moreover, each layer can be different, the main thing is that the ingredients that you use are combined with each other.
Snack cake Napoleon with salmon
Ingredients for the dough:
- 2-2.5 cups of flour
- batch of margarine for baking
- 1 egg
- half a glass of water
- a pinch of salt
The recipe for the preparation of the dough: Sift flour into a bowl. Egg, salt and water beat, pour into a bowl of flour and knead an elastic, smooth dough. Roll in a thin layer, apply a softened margarine and roll into a roll. Send the resulting blank in the refrigerator for about an hour. Cut the roll into small pieces, roll each into a thin layer and bake cakes at a temperature of 180-190 degrees. They should become golden. Ingredients for filling:
- 200-250 grams of Philadelphia cheese (can be replaced with any other cream cheese)
- 200 grams of low-salted salmon (you can also use the smoked)
- 3 hard boiled eggs
- 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- small bunch of green onions
- bunch of dill
- a handful of frieze lettuce
Recipe for cooking a cake: Eggs grate, mix with spring onion and mayonnaise. Peel the cream with cream cheese and lay out the filling: one layer - salmon with dill, the second - eggs with onion and mayonnaise. Make as many layers as you want. Cover the top cake with cheese and sprinkle with crumbs. Put the snack cake Napoleon in the refrigerator for several hours, ideally for the whole night. Serve the cake on a flat dish, laid with leaves of frisee lettuce. Note. The recipe for the dessert cake, given above, is simple enough to prepare and, it can be said, is ideal for both puff desserts and puff pastries. Ingredients for the dough:
- 250 grams of flour
- 100 grams of butter
- 4 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 egg
- a teaspoon of baking powder
- a pinch of salt
The recipe for the preparation of the dough: Sift flour, add baking powder, butter, sour cream, egg, salt and knead smooth dough. Put the refrigerator on the hour. The dough is divided into several parts, roll each in a thin circle and fry in a pan with non-stick coating on both sides (pre-prick the cakes to prevent bubbling). You can bake in the oven, but in a frying pan it turns out much faster. Ingredients for filling:
- 300 grams of chicken liver
- 1 onion
- 1 small carrot
- a tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 smoked breasts
- 1 fresh cucumber
- a handful of prunes
- several walnuts
- 4 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- salt, pepper to taste
The recipe for the filling: Prepared chicken liver fry in olive oil, along with onions and grated carrots, salt and pepper to taste. Cool and grind in a blender. Chicken breast, cucumber and prunes cut into thin strips, season with mayonnaise and mix. Nuts dry in a dry frying pan and lightly grind. Collect the cake: Put the liver pate on the bottom cake, cover with other cake, put the salad of chicken breast, cucumber and prunes, etc. By alternating the filling, we make as many layers as we want. Ingredients for the dough:

- can of pink salmon in its own juice
- tuna can in olive oil
- 2 hard boiled eggs
- 2 processed cheese
- small bunch of green onions
- 100 grams of light mayonnaise
- clove of garlic
Recipe for cooking a cake: Stretch the fish. Eggs and cheese curd, add finely chopped green onions, chopped garlic and 50 grams of mayonnaise. Lubricate each cake with a thin layer of mayonnaise. On the first cake put the pink salad, cover with the following cake, lay a salad of eggs and melted cheese, then again the cake and tuna layer. Repeat all the layers in the same sequence again. Layer the last layer with mayonnaise and sprinkle with crumbs. For soaking, leave the snack cake Napoleon in a cold place for several hours.
