Both in summer and in winter beet is available - this is its mainadvantage. At any time of the year it is useful - this is its main advantage. And the main feature of beet can be considered that it is suitable for both salads and desserts. Therefore, we suggest you prepare a salad of boiled beets, or rather, a few salads that can be used as a snack, as a light main course and as a dessert.
Simple salad from boiled beets
This recipe for salad with boiled beets will appeal to lovers of savory snacks, and adherents of a healthy lifestyle. Ingredients:
- Beet - 1 large or 2 small;
- Table vinegar - half a glass;
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons;
- Black ground pepper - 2 pinch;
- Salt - to your taste.
Preparation: All we need to make this salad is to cook and pickle the beetroot. Therefore, first we will thoroughly wash the beetroot (in the ground it grew after all) and boil right in the peel. For the full availability of beets to cook it should be long, though, very young root crops, which are straight from the garden, are brewed twice as fast. To speed up the process, the beets can be boiled halfway, and then cooled under cold running water. So, the beets were cooked, cooled, and now we will peel it from the peel and cut it into thin slabs. For the marinade, we'll prepare a solution of acetic acid or use six-percent table vinegar: just fill the sliced beets with vinegar and leave the minutes for ten to fifteen. Then salt the liquid, lay the beets in a salad bowl, add pepper and salt to it and fill it with vegetable oil. The most simple salad, which can be made from beets, is ready.
Beetroot salad with carrots
This salad can be prepared at any time of the year, as its ingredients (beet and carrots) are always available, and the recipe is very simple. Ingredients:
- Beet boiled - 1 piece;
- Fresh carrots - 1 piece;
- Salt and mayonnaise for refueling.
Preparation: My beets, boil until soft and peeled. Mine and clean the carrots, and then rub the vegetables on a large grater. Fold the grated carrots and beets in a salad bowl, add a little salt and dress the salad with mayonnaise.
Salad with beet and beetroot
If in your garden grows this wonderfulroot, then try to supplement your summer menu with salad from boiled beet with beet tops. Unfortunately, you can hardly buy beets together with the tops, and therefore do not miss the chance and use the gifts of your garden. Ingredients:
- Beet with a tops - 1-2 pieces;
- Mayonnaise, salt and sour cream for refueling.
Preparation: Fresh beets are separated from the tops and set to cook directly in the skin (a young beetroot will be cooked quickly). While the beets are being cooked, carefully wash my tops and cut the beet leaves with noodles, and the stems with cubes. Then cut into cubes boiled, peeled and cooled beets. To dress the salad mix in equal proportions sour cream and mayonnaise, add salt and dress salad.
Spicy beet salad
This salad is perfect for a quick snack. Ingredients:
- Beets - 1 piece;
- Cheese hard - 100 g;
- Fresh garlic - 3 cloves;
- Mayonnaise - for refueling.
Preparation: Boiled, cooled and peeled beets and cheese rubbed on a large grater, garlic - on a fine grater. We combine all the ingredients and dress the salad with mayonnaise. Everything, you can serve a salad on the table.
Salad of beets and sea cabbage
Another version of a beet salad. This recipe is especially recommended for those who recognize the benefits of sea kale, but do not really like this particular product. Ingredients:
- Beets - 1 piece;
- Sea kale (marinated) - 100 g;
- Vegetable oil, salt and pepper for refueling.
Preparation: Boil the beet, let it cool and peel, and then cut into small cubes. With sea kale we merge the marinade and combine it with sliced beets. We fill the salad with vegetable oil, and add pepper and salt to taste.
Sweet Beetroot Salad
Only salty salads with boiled beets, we will not limit ourselves and prepare a dessert version of such a salad. Ingredients:
- Beets - 1 piece;
- Raisins - 1 handful;
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon;
- Sour cream - 2 tablespoons.
Preparation: Beets are boiled until soft, cooled and peeled. We sort out the raisins (without pits), soak it for about ten minutes and rinse it. Beetroot rub on a large grater, put it in a salad bowl and add raisins to it. We fill the salad with sour cream and sprinkle sugar on top. Almost any recipe for salad with beets can be supplemented with walnuts. The combination of the taste of these nuts with the taste of cooked beets is considered a win-win. And the boiled beet is perfectly combined with herring (the famous herring under the fur coat) and with a salted cucumber, and in a sweet salad of beet, you can add prunes or a fresh apple. As a dressing for beetroot salad, you can use sour cream, mayonnaise (or sour-cream mayonnaise mixture), as well as any vegetable oil or vinaigrette sauce.
