Traditional version of Greek salad with brynza

To begin with, we present you an adapted recipe for Greek salad. It preserves all the ingredients of the traditional Greek salad with the exception of feta cheese, which we will replace with cheese. Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh cucumbers;
  • 4 fresh tomatoes;
  • Pod of meaty sweet pepper;
  • Red onion head;
  • 250 g of brynza;
  • A bunch of leaf lettuce;
  • A bank of black olives without pits;
  • Olive oil;
  • Lemon juice;
  • Salt and black pepper;
  • Oregano and basil.

Preparation: All my vegetables and dried, from the peppers we remove seeds and membranes. Vegetables for Greek salad are always sliced ​​large! Therefore, we cut cucumbers along into two parts, and then cut into semi-circles. Tomatoes cut into large cubes, cheese in square slices, and lettuce tear on the flaps. Try to keep the size of the pieces of different vegetables approximately the same. Now you need to cut the red onions into half rings and you can start to collect the salad. Spread into a salad bowl cut vegetables and torn lettuce leaves, gently mix and season with sauce. Simplified version of Greek salad with cheese

A simplified recipe also has a right to exist. In addition, the taste of this salad does not practically change, but the recipe for cooking is more like our traditional vegetable salad. Ingredients:

  • Fresh cucumber;
  • Fresh tomato;
  • Fresh Bulgarian pepper;
  • Head of onions;
  • 150 g of brynza;
  • 150 g of black olives;
  • Lemon juice;
  • Vegetable oil.

Cooking: All vegetables are thoroughly washed. With a bow remove the husks, from the peppers we take out seeds and membranes. Then we cut cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers into large cubes, as well as cut and cheese. Cut the bulb in half and cut each half into half rings. Olives (without pits!) Are taken out of the jar. All the prepared products are put in a salad bowl, a little salt, sprinkled with lemon juice and seasoned with vegetable oil. That's all - the salad is ready. Let's notice, that each recipe of the Greek salad means a certain set of products, and its invariable components - cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet pepper, onions, cheese and olives. Optional, but used, are leaf lettuce, capers and anchovies. By the way, a dressing for Greek salad can be done specially, and you can do with ordinary vegetable oil.
