On New Year's Eve we are immersed in a specialatmosphere of pre-holiday fuss, exciting expectations and truly fabulous beauty. And even if due to the vagaries of the weather outside the window is slushy and snowless, the New Year will come anyway, and we will definitely mark it. Undoubtedly, the main festive mood on New Year's Eve creates a Christmas tree sparkling with lights. However, the New Year's decor of the house is not limited to a single herringbone! You can make Christmas or New Year compositions for the Christmas tree, make a real Christmas wreath, use Christmas trees, tinsel, homemade snowflakes and garlands for decoration. However, let's learn some of the features of the New Year's decor for the house. 
Wall compositions from coniferous twigs
Pine branches, which can be purchased at theThe same Christmas tree market, where live Christmas trees, will be an excellent basis for a wall Christmas composition. Save the freshness of the branches will help a little trick: update the slices with sharp scissors or a knife diagonally and let them stand in the water for about a day. Then cut the sections with melted wax. And then proceed as follows. From the branches weave small wreaths or decorate bouquets, fixing the composition with wire. For the Christmas wreath, use a wire ring as a frame, and attach the branches to it with the same wire, tape or threads. Now fluffy pine paws can be decorated: tapes, small figures and toys, attached with wire, or with the help of glue and stapler, are suitable. In addition, you can decorate the Christmas wreath with Christmas toys and tinsel, dried (orange circles) or fresh (apples, rowan brush) fruit and berries, artificial and fresh flowers. Traditionally, a Christmas wreath is hung on the front door just below the eye. In the West, a wreath is placed outside the door. But if you allow the possibility that your Christmas wreath will suddenly become an ornament for someone else's house, then hang it on the door in the hallway, away from the eyes of uninvited guests. Ikebana for Christmas and New Year
So, you can hang on the wall or on the doorpretty Christmas wreath. But these are not the only suitable surfaces for the New Year's decor of the house. At us still weight of every possible horizontal surfaces, and therefore tables and shelves, chests of drawers and trellises can be decorated with compositions in baskets, flat dishes and flowerpots. In a word, we will try to make New Year's ikebans. For a basis of such a composition, a thick piece of foam or floristic foam is suitable. You can do the same thing: pour decorative sand into the transparent low pot, or even salt, which perfectly imitates the snow, and already in them to thrust twigs of pine, spruce or fir. Or just put the composition in the vase. These branches can be tinted with any white paint (aerosol, acrylic or gouache) to simulate frosted needles. You can also sprinkle the branches with foam plastic or artificial snow, pre-lubricated with glue or sprinkled with hairspray. In random order on coniferous branches, they place nuts and cones, fur-tree toys, ribbons of ribbons, serpentine. A wonderful decor will be ikebana from the "snow-covered" branches with one large Christmas tree or without any additional decorations. Perfectly fit in a similar composition of Christmas angels, which can be made of paper or stitching from fabric or felt, Christmas gift boots and striped candies. And even the New Year's ikebana can be decorated with a real Christmas ginger biscuit, painted with sugar icing. The breathtaking aroma of this edible decor will create a perfume appropriate for the holiday and a good mood. By the way, the Christmas wreath can be placed not only on the door and on the wall, but also become the central composition of the festive table. Only in this case the wreath is made more lush and tall, and complement the decoration with candles.
Natural flowers
Ironically, in the Western traditionChristmas decor is mandatory and there are live flowers. And if for us these ornaments were recently very uncommon, today they become quite understandable and even a traditional element of the New Year's decor of the house. There are several types of potted plants that are strongly associated with Christmas and New Year thanks to bright leaves, flowers or berries: mistletoe, pianist (Christmas star), nightshade. On New Year's Eve in flower shops you can buy a plant with a flower already blossoming, or its artificial copy. And still it is possible in advance (approximately one month before New year) to grow bulbs of narcissuses, frezias or tulips. Sprouted onions are left in small pots in a moist substrate, supplement them with New Year's compositions or use them as a live bouquet on a festive table. Or, for example, in the nearest park (in your garden, in a tree planting) cut a few branches with pronounced kidneys. Having stood in the warmth of the house for several days, they will gladden the eye with fresh greenery for the holidays. Quickly give young foliage branches of lilac, apricot and poplar.
Christmas toys in the interior
Tinsel was and remains surprisingly convenientmaterial for the New Year's decor. Decorate furniture and walls with Christmas tinsel, hang it in the form of garlands, or even make with the help of an adhesive tape (pins) contour images of Christmas trees, snowflakes, stars and a congratulatory inscription "Happy New Year!". By the way, tinsel on a wire basis can take any shape and looks great in compositions. Garlands, bright balls and other decorations brightly shine, if they are fixed on chandeliers and floor lamps. From the mirror in the hallway there will be a mysterious fairy-tale portal, if you make for him a frame of tinsel and toys. Christmas balls in a large transparent vase can decorate the New Year's table, as well as a Christmas wreath, a bouquet of real flowers or ikebana. Of the balls, you can even make whole garlands, the benefit today of selling safe plastic balls, which, incidentally, are much cheaper than glass. 
Magic windows
Until recently, we painted the windows divorced inwater toothpaste. Today it is not fashionable anymore. Unfortunately. But such a retro decor is still out of time and fashion, because a man-made fairy tale has the right to exist in any version. And if you like this way of decorating windows, then spit on fashion and paint the windows, as they did in childhood! Or cut out stencils from paper with snowflakes or other New Year symbols, and with their help, apply an artificial frost on the glass or write a New Year's wish. As in the recent past, we are pleased to continue decorating the windows with electric Christmas garlands. However, you will have to spend a considerable amount of money only once, but each next new year you will be able to decorate your house in such a magical way. But there are other options for the external New Year's decor of the house. Small candles-tablets will decorate the railing of the porch or even stairs. In convenient, open to review corners, you can put candlelight. The doors and windows of the house outside can also be decorated with garlands or tinsel. Let this sound trite and quite like a clerical, but your vigilance and caution will help to avoid minor and major troubles. Pets are an occasion for special attention. Cats, for example, love to play with decorations hanging from the tree. So place on the bottom of the Christmas tree unbreakable toys. Little kittens in general are able to confuse the New Year tree with an ordinary tree and can easily begin to climb it. So the Christmas tree should be stable. Many pets love to nibble a shiny rain of foil. Instead, you can use a paper serpentine of bright colors - the effect will not be worse. Toys and other jewelry should be secure and high enough if a cat or dog lives in your house. These creatures are curious, possessing a research instinct and playful disposition. By the way, the same qualities are typical of small children. Therefore, the festive decoration of the house must be safe. However, the New Year's decor with their own hands will allow you to decorate the house, observing the precautionary measures. After all, someone like you do not know the habits of your pets and the mischievous character of young children.
