Cake Mint Hill is a gift to us from the Germanconfectioners. He got his name for his external resemblance to a mound over a mole mink, and in his homeland this dessert is called Maulwurftorte, which sounds like a Mol cake. Naturally, the recipe for the cake exists both in the classical version, and in the modernized or adapted to our kitchen. But in any case, the basic ingredients and the way of making this cake remain unchanged. By and large, any cake, collected and decorated appropriately, can be called Khotovaya Hill. But you still need to follow the formula to get a real German Maulwurftorte. We offer you several popular recipes for this cake.
Classic "Mol Cake"
The classic recipe for the Molehill is a recipe for a chocolate cake with bananas and curd cream on gelatin. Ingredients:
- Eggs of chicken - 4 pieces;
- Sugar sand - 1 glass with a slide;
- Flour - 1 glass with a slide;
- Cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon;
- Steep boiling water - 4 tablespoons;
- Vanilla sugar - half a sachet;
- Baking Powder - half a sachet.
For cream:
- Gelatin - 15 grams;
- Cream fatty - 2 cups;
- Fresh bananas - 4-5 pieces;
- Cottage cheese soft - 250 grams;
- Sugar sand - incomplete glass;
- Chocolate chips - 100 grams.
Preparation: For a cake, we first need to bake a biscuit. For this, we separate raw eggs into yolks and proteins. Squirrels are put into the refrigerator, and the yolks are mixed with hot water and thoroughly rubbed, gradually pouring sugar and vanilla sugar. Then beat the yolk mass for about two to three minutes. Now we take the proteins from the refrigerator and whisk them into a thick, thick foam that should turn out smooth and strong. After that, the protein foam is laid out on the yolk mass, but do not mix. Separately mix the sifted flour with cocoa powder and baking powder, and then pour it onto the protein foam. Now carefully mix everything, making a biscuit dough. The form for baking is lined with parchment paper, pour the dough into it and send it to the preheated oven to 180-200 degrees. We bake biscuit cake for about half an hour. We remove the prepared cake from the mold and allow it to cool completely. After this, a tea or a table spoon we scoop out the biscuit from the cake, leaving only its bottom and walls about a centimeter thick. Dredged biscuit grind into crumbs. Now we prepare the cream. Gelatin soak, let it swell, and then heated in a microwave or a water bath until completely dissolved. Chilled cream whipped into a foam, and cottage cheese grinded with one mashed banana and sugar. When the sugar in the curd will dissolve, add chocolate chips, whipped cream and gelatin. The cream for the cake is ready. In the resulting cup from the crock we lay peeled and cut along bananas. Above the bananas spread the cream, forming a dome from it, and we remove the cake in the refrigerator for about six hours. When the cream completely freezes, we take out the cake from the refrigerator and sprinkle it with biscuit crumbs. Top powdered cocoa powder or chocolate chips.

Now we cut out a kind of bowl from the cake, taking out the biscuit from the middle and leaving the walls and bottom about a centimeter or two thick. Grind the scooped out pulp into crumbs. Soak the gelatin and leave it to swell. In the meantime, pour out the third part of the jelly and coat the cake with it from the inside. Combine the remaining jelly with yogurt. Put half of the biscuit crumbs in the cream, mix and fill the biscuit cake with the cream. Pour the remaining crumb over the cake and put it in the refrigerator until the cream is completely solidified. In two or three hours, our cake is ready! You can powder it with cocoa powder or sprinkle with chocolate chips. You can also sculpt a mole figurine from a mixture of biscuit crumbs, cocoa powder and butter and decorate a cake with this figurine. Actually, you can get creative with decorating a cake. The cake itself, of course, should look like a mound above the mole's mink. And you can decorate it with a figurine sculpted from mastic or biscuit-butter mass. And chocolate or cream flowers, and fresh fruits or berries. You can "plant" grass around the cake made of the same mastic or oil (protein) cream. Add flowers or mushrooms to the grass. And in the company of the mole, you can make other animals. By the way, this cake is perfect for a children's party. And although in the original "Mole Hill" looks very laconic and even ascetic, the cake can be made very beautiful and bright. What is stopping us? It's all up to us. The main thing is to cook with pleasure. Bon appetit and success in the culinary field!
