Open the child the world of heroes of your childhood - those with whom you laughed, cried, sang, danced, sad, inspired, fell and went up ...

The Scarecrow, 1983

What is the film about? The girl Lena is forced to resist the attacks of her classmates, who have arranged a real bullying for her "betrayal". The children had the opportunity to go on an excursion to Moscow, they earned money for the trip themselves, but the day before they ran away from classes to go to the cinema. One of the students, Dima Somov, was caught by the teacher and confessed where everyone went. Lena, in love, wanting to help her friend, took the blame on herself. But the real "traitor" did not have the courage to confess. The cheerful open girl did not understand from the very beginning that they were laughing at her. And she sincerely took the boycott for a game. But in the end, Scarecrow turned out to be stronger, braver, sincere and purer than those who mocked her. What topics does she raise? Bullying at school remains a problem to this day. And the worst thing is that adults often turn a blind eye to it, apparently considering it all childish fun. And they are sometimes so immature that they can take the side of the offenders, like Motya's mother in the film. Where does so much hatred and cruelty come from in 12-year-old schoolchildren? All from the same parents, the adults around them, who set an example with their behavior and indifference. The film touches on the themes of courage and cowardice, true and ostentatious kindness, true friendship and vile betrayal. Why watch with your children? Stop and think about what is happening in your schoolchild's life. Discuss why you can't bully other children, no matter what mistake they make. And, of course, remind them that in the event of such troubles, the child will always find protection and support in the person of loved ones. Quote from the film: We are children from a cage, that's who we are. We should be shown in a zoo for money!
