Thai food recipesThai cuisine recipes Most Thai dishesthe kitchen, as you probably noticed, is very sharp, this tradition came from India. And there was not so much the whim of gourmets as a harsh necessity, since the sharpness of the food served as a disinfection for bad water. Now, of course, there are much more opportunities to solve the problems of water, but the culinary tradition has already taken shape. For the European stomach this is a rather serious problem. But drinking hot sauces with water is not worth it, it will not work. Do better as the Thais themselves, experiencing similar difficulties: take more rice. After all, rice is one of the staple foods, it is so important to Thais that the words “rice” and “food” are synonymous and sound like “Khao”. Other products, such as vegetables, fish or meat, they call “Kap Khao” - “what they eat with rice”. A favorite dish of Thais can be considered the soup tom-yum-gun, which is served in a special tin samovar. You can, of course, get along with the usual saucepan, but the aesthetics will be broken. To make a real tom-yam-gun withwith a spicy-sour taste, take a handful of black pepper, fresh coriander and ginger roots, and garlic. A lemon is also required - a sedge-type plant, the stem of which, in a somewhat thickened base, has a sharp lemon aroma. All these spices should be chopped and crushed into a homogeneous mass. And the basis of the famous soup is shrimp, the larger the better. They need to be cleaned, leaving the husk only on the tip of the tail. The peels and heads are by no means thrown away - they set the taste tone. After slightly draining on a napkin, they are thrown into boiling vegetable oil and fried until the husk becomes bright pink and crispy. This will take five to six minutes. Only then is drinking water added - so that it only covers the contents. When the liquid boils, the heat should be reduced. After cooking for 10 minutes, filter the broth and pour it into a samovar heated with coals or into another container. Now, before serving, dissolve the cooked spice paste in the newly boiled broth, add peeled shrimp, pour in lemon juice, fish sauce and sprinkle with lemon leaves. It can be served to impress guests with a traditional Thai dish. This soup can be accompanied by smoked squid on bamboo sticks with a special sauce. And of course, rice. Another common food item is noodles, so they can also be served with your great soup. Meat in Thailand is rarely consumed due to its high cost and is often prepared only to order. But a lot of fish and seafood are consumed. But in the event that you want to get a dessert after lunch, most likely you will be disappointed, since the Thai people are indifferent to sweets, their puddings made from a mixture of eggs, coconuts, bananas and glutinous rice are not very popular with foreigners. So I advise you to wait with your sweet tooth to some European-style cafe, where you are more likely to find something suitable. In Thailand, they love parties and holidays, duringThe time of the festivals always serves carefully prepared traditional dishes, this is done as a sign of respect for customs and traditions. Snack trays, exotic fruit dishes and Thai beers or local whiskeys are served. All meals are served on the table at once, so that the hostess can enjoy lunch with guests. If you have not been to Thailand and just want to visit it, but are not yet ready to eat national dishes, remember: in all major cities you can find a place where you will be fed in a European way and you will not have to stick spicy seafood with sticky rice and drink ice water. However, it is still worth the risk and try the national food, and suddenly it seems to you not so exotic and not as spicy as the author of these lines.
